Thomas Muthoot

Thomas Muthoot is a third-generation leader of the Muthoot Pappachan Group and the youngest among the three brothers. He serves as a Director of the Group and the Whole-Time Director of Muthoot Fincorp Limited, its flagship company. He has been instrumental in diversifying the Group's business into microfinance, housing finance, gold savings schemes and the automotive sector. With deep expertise in microcredit and financial services, he has played a key role in developing innovative, need-based financial products that have been widely valued by the customer segments the Group serves.

Throughout his career, Thomas Muthoot has held leadership positions across various Group companies, including Muthoot Risk Insurance & Broking Services (MRIBS), Muthoot Motors Pvt Ltd, Muthoot Microfin Limited (MML), and Muthoot Housing Finance Company Limited (MHFCL). He is also deeply committed to philanthropy, leading the Muthoot Pappachan Foundation's initiatives in social welfare and community development.

A passionate advocate for sports development, Thomas Muthoot has spearheaded Muthoot Pappachan Group's efforts to contribute to India's sports ecosystem. Under his leadership, the Muthoot Football Academy, established to discover and nurture young football talent, has grown into one of the country's leading youth academies. In just seven years, the academy has reached remarkable milestones, including qualifying to compete against top English Premier League club academies in the Reliance Foundation Development League held in the UK in 2024. His commitment extends to other sports as well—he founded the Muthoot Volleyball Academy in 2021, which has already produced state and national-level players in both men's and women's categories. He has also established a badminton academy and actively supports the development of Blind Cricket, table tennis, and other sports, further strengthening his commitment to nurturing talent across diverse sporting disciplines.

Beyond his contributions to business and sports, Thomas Muthoot is a strong advocate for women's empowerment. His efforts in inclusive business and community development were recognized in 2014 when he was awarded the SEN Inclusive Business and Community Award by YPO-WPO.
